teeny tumblers

Ages 1-2

Parents play an important role in their children’s safety and development and are an important part of this class! In addition to providing encouragement and comfort, parents will learn how to safely help their children develop skills in the gym. Kids will begin building spatial awareness, balance, coordination, and confidence in the gym.

Ages 3-4

For a lot of children, this is one of their first exposures to organized learning. While the focus remains on developing basic gymnastics core concepts (awareness, strength, balance, coordination, terminology, skill acquisition, etc.), students will be patiently guided through the transition into more structured classes by gradually changing expectations. Parents do not participate in the class, although we ask that all children under the age of 5 have a parent or guardian present.

Ages 5+

Our Beginner students will be introduced to and develop basic gymnastics skills and concepts. They will gain flexibility and strength, develop spatial awareness, and build self-confidence in the wonderful sport of gymnastics! Classes have been broken up by age and are carefully planned and structured to ensure well rounded development, while teaching students how much fun the “game” of gymnastics is!

Ages 6+ by Evaluation

Our Intermediate and Advanced classes continue to build on the foundations students became proficient at in the Beginner class. The skills taught in Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced are based on movements used in Levels 2 and 3 of the US Junior Olympic program giving students the tools they need if they choose to continue on with the sport. Athletes learn proper progressions to advance their skills, create and improve awareness, build strength and flexibility, continue to develop important sport specific movement patterns, and gain conceptual understanding of the wonderful sport of gymnastics!

Ages 6-12

'Extreme' combines the world of obstacle negotiation and “ninja-like” movement with the art of gymnastics.  This class combines specific elements of free-running, martial arts, gymnastics, rock climbing, break dancing, and ninja warrior concepts.   Students will develop gross motor skills, balance, depth perception, and body awareness while working towards a sport specific skill set. This class is a favorite and now offers your ninja the opportunity to progress their skills and continue on into the Kids Extreme Ninja Intermediate Class!

Ages 6+ by Evaluation

Students from the Beginner Ninja Extreme who meet certain skill proficiency requirements can advance to our Intermediate Class. While providing more gym time, this class also helps to develop their skill sets to higher levels, while continually being taught key safety precautions.

Ages 8+

Tumbling classes focus on teaching students basic acrobatic progressions and developing the strength, spatial awareness, and movement patterns to advance skill level and range. Tumbling is a great option for those who want to learn specific skills that will help them with their sport of choice - whether it be cheerleading, dance, or snowboarding.
